About Megan

BEE0F01E-2BBD-4A0D-A170-3F93A9C66AFE Welcome! My name is Megan Hannan (they/she). I’m a queer, genderqueer Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher, RYT500 / E-RYT200, and YACEP. I’m also a DONA certified birth doula, CD(DONA), though currently only taking on repeat clients. I’m also the parent to an energetic, vivacious teenaged daughter, who loves all things fantasy, outdoors, and reading!

A Colorado transplant (2015), I’m originally from south-eastern Pennsylvania, where I was born and raised in the country before graduating from Lehigh University. After graduating, I lived outside of Philadelphia for 11 years while working in Center City. The move to the Denver area, prompted by an amazing job opportunity for my husband, was the perfect chance for me to get my yoga teacher certification, and my doula certification through DONA.

Yoga has been my grounding “me time” since I first attended a class in 2012, a gift from my husband. It helps me find my calm, no matter what else life throws at me, and I love to share that feeling as a teacher. I became a RYT200 in 2016, an E-RYT200 in Jan 2022, an RYT500 in July 2022, and a YACEP in 2024. I have additional certificates in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, and Restorative Yoga; as well as additional training in Prenatal Yoga. I enjoy teaching alignment-based hatha classes, Restorative classes, and hybrid classes.

Besides yoga and birth, my passions are travel, camping, and reading. I also enjoy lifting, hiking, and photography, and am an advocate for my Queer community (Trans rights are Human rights!). My family and I spend a lot of time outside! Especially in the autumn, my favorite time of year. I love all things Halloween and spooky, and am always down for a cup of tea.

No matter why you want to try yoga, I look forward to working with each individual (or group) to get the most from our time together.
